MINNEAPOLIS, MINN, Mar. 24, 2017 – The Minneapolis-based employee benefits firm, Clairmont Financial Group, LLC, was recently selected by Wedge Community Co-op to administer their employee benefits. Wholly community owned, The Wedge is a combination grocery store, catering company, wholesale distributor, café, and sustainable food leader located in the heart of Minneapolis. For over 40 years, The Wedge has worked to support both organic food options and small farmers, driven by their belief that real food made by real people makes a measurable difference in our world.
Clairmont Financial, a boutique, high-touch engagement firm specializing in the mid-market, will support a broad range of services on behalf of The Wedge. Outside of providing a comprehensive insurance suite, including group health insurance, voluntary life insurance, and short and long-term disability insurance options to their employees, Clairmont Financial will also be supporting The Wedge on a myriad of human resources fronts. Clairmont Financial will provide The Wedge with ACA reporting and support an employee assistance plan (EAP). They will also offer an enhanced Human Resources Hotline, resulting in additional HR support. In addition, Clairmont Financial was able to achieve significant savings on behalf of The Wedge, ultimately allowing the Co-op to reinvest additional funds in their business growth.
Steve Strege, the Executive Vice President of Clairmont Financial Group, was responsible for developing the relationship and ensuring their employee benefits needs were fully being met. The partnership began with the 2016 Open Enrollment Period.
